BIS Admission Requirements

The rules issued by the Supreme Council of Universities, the University Council, and the College Council specify a number of conditions on the basis of which admission to the Business Information Systems program is based.

1. The student must have a high school diploma in the same academic year for admission.
2. The student must be accepted to the College of Commerce and Business Administration regularly, through the Coordination Office, and in the same year of application, taking into account that the college does not accept students to join the Business Information Systems program.
3. The minimum admission to the degree of English will be determined in light of the indicators of coordination and admission to universities in proportion to the current stage and to ensure justice for students, preferably graduates of schools in which the first foreign language is English.
4. Holders of the English Secondary School Certificate (IGCSE) provided that they obtain a grade of (C) at least in the English language subject.
5. Holders of the American High School Diploma, provided that they obtain a grade of (C) at least in English.

6- The preference when accepting students should be in light of the numbers approved by the Supreme Council of Universities on the basis of the legal total of the grades obtained by the student (total high school + English language degree + high level degree in English, if any).

7. The precedence of admission shall be among the students nominated for the college directly from the Coordination Office, and the acceptance of students transferred from other universities in the event of vacant places on the same basis as the previous within the limits of the remaining number of the original stage "previous".
8. A decision is issued by the College Council and approved by the President of the University to approve the result of admission to the Business Information Systems Program, so that those covered by the decision become in the rule of those admitted to the program. The lists of accepted students are announced at the college headquarters and also on the official website of the program.
9. The accepted student shall attend the program's headquarters in Zamalek on the announced dates to complete the procedures for his registration in the program.
10. On the dates of registration, the accepted student must attend the program's headquarters in Zamalek to choose the courses that he will study, under the guidance of the academic advisor, register them and pay the tuition fees.

Procedures for applying for admission to the BIS program

The student or his representative purchases the application file from the BIS Program Coordination Committee
1. Complete the attached enrollment form
2. Writing an undertaking of the validity of the data, information and documents submitted by him

Medical examination

After nominating the student for admission to the college, the student is not considered enrolled in the college until after conducting a medical examination at the medical administration at the university, paying the prescribed tuition fees, and obtaining the university card.
The student obtains a medical examination form approved by the Student Affairs Department and goes to the medical administration of the college to conduct the necessary medical examinations, on the dates specified for the college, where the medical examination proves that he is free of infectious diseases and his health suitability to continue studying.

Study System

This program is the foundation for the development of university education in Egypt and reflects a new vision and philosophy in the system of higher and university education through the following:
1. The study in the program depends on the credit hours system
2. The academic year is divided into two semesters and a summer semester can be added.

4. Obtaining a bachelor's degree requires the student to successfully pass one hundred and twenty-nine (129) credit hours over at least eight semesters – not including summer semesters – divided into four levels of study.
5. The student prepares the graduation project (calculated with six credit hours) in one of the areas of using information systems in the business sector.
6. Students are graduated in the program in two semesters each year (May/June and January/February) and no student is allowed to graduate in the summer semester.
7. The student is not allowed to register any course until after passing the previous requirements for this course, if any.
8. Before the beginning of each semester - on the announced dates - the student registers the courses of his choice.

9. The minimum credit hours for registration in each semester is (9) hours, and the maximum is (18) hours. These limits may be waived only in cases of graduation and with the approval of the program supervisor.
10. After completing the registration procedures, the student is allowed, in coordination with the student's academic advisor through specific forms and procedures, the following:
- Add one or more courses within two weeks of the start of the study.
- Dropping one or more courses within four weeks from the beginning of the study.
- After registering the courses he has chosen, the student may withdraw from one or more courses within 8 weeks from the start of the study, so that the number of registered hours for the student is not less than the minimum registration in one semester (9 credit hours), and in this case, the student is not considered a failure in the courses from which he withdrew, and he is calculated with a grade of "withdrawn" only.
- If the student withdraws from one or more courses after the specified period, he will be counted as "fail" in the courses from which he withdrew.
- The student's entry into the final exam requires achieving an attendance rate of not less than 75% of the lectures in each course, and if the student's absence rate - without an acceptable excuse - in one of the courses exceeds 25%, the College Council may deprive him From entering the final exam after being warned and given a grade
